I found this quote today, not sure who said it though, it does however hit the nail on the head.
Good thing it's the holidays. Time to stay home in my usually vacant home.

Soo... It's been a very long time since my last entry.... I've been preoccupied I suppose. However I recently witnessed an event that cannot go without mention. Cat Power in Calgary! I was there... smiling! She was just as I thought she would be... Songs were recongnizable but totally re-invented. She pretty much improvised the entire show. Making up the set list as she went along. In any case I loved it.

A LONG TIME GONE

So it's been a while since I've been able to get to blogging. First Coachella, then the addition of Olive and now working working working. So for now I will just leave you with some pictures of all the things keeping me busy.

GRADSHOW 2007

Exciting News. This week is my final week of the Design Program at Grant MacEwan College and to celebrate our three years of hard work, the students are having a grad show. A kind of show and tell. I was up late last night designing a little mini calender of our week. I started out really gun ho but slowly started to get sleepy. You probably can't tell from the picture but that girl in the bathing suit on May 2 is me. I edited my head onto a cute bathing suit.

LEARNING TO SEW

Right now I have this goal. I'm going to sew. Not just get the machine to work. I actually want to create something of quality and from a pattern. I want to make a design choice and understand how I did. All of this hopefully will start with the new book I'm reading. SEW U. I am very excited.

STROLLING THE RIVER VALLEY

Last night we took an evening stroll through the river valley. It actually felt like I had escaped the city, if only for a little while. My camera kept indicating..."the moon is over exposed".... silly camera, the moon is suppose to be bright.

I love almost everything of the NYC based designer built by wendy. I can't wait for the spring to come so not just me, but everyone can start wearing cute dresses and sandals.

COACHELLA 2007

Hooray. We are going to Coachella 2007. I am very excited.

WHEELS IN MOTION

I was sent out on a mission to photograph a wheel in motion. I love this because it reminds me of riding my bike when I was a child, and how when you would fall, you would throw your bike away, sort of like it deceived you. The tire would spin from the impact.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

I love Sunday. It is my favorite day of the week. I usually sleep in, drink lots of coffee and get to listen to some good ol' tunes. And that's exactly what I did today. Lacey too.

A LITTLE EARLY TO FLY

Yes, I have finally made a post. I couldn't resist the fly in the window this morning. I needed proof that there really was a fly in my window. I wonder if he's been alive since the summer and living in my apartment? Or perhaps there's another reason he's around so early. In any case he reminds me of warmer, winterless days that I look forward to.
