New Goal

I'm going to take a class and make a quilt. This one that NICOMADE is sooo beautiful, it has inspired me.

Johnson Sewing Center here in the city offers classes, I think I shall look into it. Anyone care to join me?

Winner! New Pornographers, here I come...

I just won free tickets to see The New Pornographers in Edmonton next week. Whoohoo! I never ever win. I got the tickets through CBC Radio 3. All I had to do was email the answer to a question about the relation between Carl Newman and  Kathryn Calder. The answer: he's her long lost uncle.

Saturday May 15... what to do?

Driving Range
It doesn't matter if you're no good. It's all just for run. Smash some balls (ha) at the Driving Range in the sunny afternoon.

Wander around a Greenhouse
Visit a local Greenhouse and pick up some seeds and plants for spring.

Hit up the Farmers Market
The Edmonton City Market (off Jasper) opens on Saturday. I've been waiting for this since fall when it closed.

Sit on a Patio with a Bubbly Beverage
Maybe the Empress Ale House. Or if you're/I'm feeling lazy we could sit on our home patios.

Bike Ride
Hit the open road and see where you end up. Or if you prefer (the old me would prefer, but now I'm spontaneous, haha) you can download Edmonton city bike maps here.

Dance Party

Vegas or Bust, New City, 10081 Jasper Ave, Edmonton 

A good old fashioned fundraiser event to send some local gals to Vegas for a Hall of Fame Weekend.  

The night will include burlesque show, dance party, auction and prizes.

... or someone could relax and enjoy the sun (includes grilling dinner  -  portobello mushroom burgers and a long walk). Really whichever you prefer.
