Despite rain and constant grey clouds the weekend was pretty spectacular. Warning: there was plenty of food.
Friday night we found ourselves at a small local tapas bar called Tzin where we stayed late drinking fine wine and munching on tasty little treats. We had the meat and cheese platter, some mushroom crostini's, creamy chilli prawns, and ricotta spinach stuffed pasta. Yum!
Saturday afternoon we visited with an extremely knowledgeable chap and learned a little about the world of Bordeaux wine. I realized that when it comes to wine there is much to learn – luckily learning about wine means drinking wine. No complaints here. We happily started our lesson Saturday night.
Sunday evening we made a huge meal complete with wine homework. Later that night we played board games and visited with friends.
Monday the sun finally came out. The afternoon was spent outside visiting and eating hotdogs. And now we're putting up our feet and giving thanks for the fantastic fun-food filled weekend we had and looking forward to many more.
